Virtual Program | Moving Mindfulness - Qigong with Natalie

  • No Shame On U 4411 N Ravenswood Ave, Suite 300 Chicago, IL United States (map)

Qigong (chee-gong) is an ancient (made modern) health and wellness practice.  It is both simple and profound, energizing and calming.  This mind body practice will center, stretch, invigorate and empower you. The practice utilizes gentle movements, breath work, self-massage, and guided visualization to enhance the Qi (life force) that is within and all around us.

While you may not have heard of Qigong, you probably have heard of Tai Chi.  They are related, Qigong is basis for Tai Chi (and feng shui, martial arts, acupressure and acupuncture) and is simpler in many ways.

Qigong was “created” by Daoist monks in the mountains of China over 5000 years ago.  It is a practice that was handed down from generation to generation and was the folk medicine of China.

This practice can be done by anyone of any physical size or shape, standing or sitting with modifications.  It doesn’t require any special clothing or equipment, just your breath, your time and comfortable clothes.

Natalie Goldfein was certified in 2011 as a Teacher of Qigong from the IIQTC (Institute for Integral Qigong and Tai Chi).  While I love teaching this wonderful practice in person and have done so at Crate and Barrel Corporate HQ, Butler Rubin Law, Growing Home Inc and many retreats and summer camps, I have found teaching this practice online through ZOOM to be powerful and effective in helping people to relieve their anxiety, calm the mind and body, improve health and provide a general sense of wellness.

“During these challenging times, I am sharing one of the best things I know to do to help us stretch, calm, energize, breathe and keep ourselves well.” - Natalie G.
